5 Surprising Places To Do Excellent Writing

Tucked behind a row of seats at your airport departure gate is a great place to write.

It’s not the most unique place where I have written.

All too often I read of people who say that they can only write in their chair, at their desk, in the perfect writing space that they have curated.

That may work for them. But unless they live a hermit existence, there are going to be many times when they are away from that setup and still need to write.

What are they going to do, just wait and see the ideas disappear, just hoping that they return with their original zest when they get back into their space?

This is a mindset that is setting them up for failure.

I know this mindset because I’m talking about my former self.

I would have this standing desk with an ergonomic seat, and a second monitor centered with an abundance of “creativity-inducing” trinkets adorning the space. The desk had to be perpendicular to the window so I could focus and then take a reprieve to look to my right out the window onto some form of natural space.

Do you know how much writing was done in this space?

Zero.
