When watching YouTube videos about being successful in any endeavour you are bound to find endless content about the power of consistency.

It is so easy to fall into this rabbit role where you watch videos about the benefits of consistency and developing habits that make you successful. Doing all this research while sitting curled up on the couch not taking action on those video lessons.

That’s what I find myself thinking about regularly. How can I develop my consistency and become successful? because it is clear that there is an evident correlation between these two concepts of consistency and success.

Tell me about a bodybuilder that doesn’t have a consistent gym routine and diet.

Find me a successful business person who doesn’t work on themselves or their business daily.

Find me an athlete not working towards excelling in their craft constantly.

It is what sets apart the good from the great and even more so separates the haves and the have nots.

It is the thing that separates the ones who say “oh yeah I tried starting a business, it didn’t get much traction” compared to the ones who say “yeah man it was hard at first but I kept at it through thick and thin and now I’m here.”

Even when I take a day off I am thinking and planning ahead. There is always something else I can do like paint (I am also an artist) or write an article. So I guess I am not really taking time off!

Agreed, consistency is key. Of course we can take a day off, but doing so actually requires self discipline; we need to come back rested the next day and carry on.
