I have made $18.34 in the last 2 weeks on Medium

I have averaged 2 hours per day writing the content for my page.

That 28 Hours has earned only $18.34

That equates to 0.65 per hour of work

I turned down job offers for $26.32 an hour

But I am not annoyed by that at all by this.

I’m enjoying the journey.

When I saw my Medium balance and realised that this is how much I have been making per hour my first thought was how others would think of me for turning down so much more money, stability and opportunity.

I am fully aware of the minimal returns for my effort and investment into this craft. I am though immensely excited about the momentum that I am building towards a better hourly rate.

Compare my $0.65 to last month.

I made $30.43 across 31 days of working for approximately 2.5 hours per day.

That makes $0.39 per hour.

All in all, that means that I am currently on track to make a 60% improvement in my hourly rate In May.

I may be entirely gaslighting myself into thinking that I am on the right track but maybe this is the unfiltered optimism that I need to progress on this journey during this period of lowly returns.

I know that with continued effort and time applied to this craft, I will improve and the results will be undeniable.

Or so I hope.
