Wake up! You’ve been lied to. Sahil Bloom nails it with his quote: “Never let the quest for more distract you from the beauty of enough.” It’s a wake-up call that challenges the toxic grind culture and consumerist brainwashing we’re all victims of.

The Cult of More

Let’s get real: you’ve been indoctrinated. From childhood, you’ve been fed a steady diet of “more, more, more.” More money, more success, more everything. But here’s the dirty secret: the quest for more is a never-ending treadmill. No matter how fast you run, you’ll never reach the finish line because it doesn’t exist.

Even the word enough has for some become this word that cannot be uttered aloud. Tiger Woods has recounted of the training that he did with his father being relentless and gruelling. With some commentators even making mention to the abusive nature of the regime that Tiger underwent. To cap it all off, Tiger would recount that he also had the ability to call of the training by as he recounted “saying the E word”.

How striking that Tigers father had trained him as a boy to thnk that the worst thing that could be said was “Enough”.

This headspace is what undoubtedly created Tigers greatness on the course but is also what made him so unsatisfied with his life off the course. How…
