Approaching clients from an abundance mindset, rather than a scarcity mindset, can transform your interactions and lead to more successful outcomes. An abundance mindset is based on the belief that there are plenty of opportunities available, whereas a scarcity mindset is driven by the fear of competition. Scarcity Mindset:

  • Characteristics: Fear-based, competitive, defensive, focused on short-term gains.
  • Impact on Pitching: A scarcity mindset can make you appear desperate, overly aggressive, or insincere. It can lead to a focus on immediate sales rather than building long-term relationships.
  • For the guys out there it is similar to that teeth-chattering feeling that you have when you go up and talk to that pretty girl at the bar.
