The 1 Hack That I Use To Increase My Productivity: 30 Minute Rule

I wanted to be more productive in achieving my goals. I would continually delay starting.

This 1 change, made a world of difference for my productivity.

Let Me Explain:

All too often I have been the victim of it being 22 minutes past the hour and instead of commencing what I want to do instantly, I permitted myself to wait until the top of the hour.

It is more often than not when the top of the hour occurs I have already descended into another task and delayed my commencement of the original task by a further hour and the cycle repeats itself. Likely until it doesn’t get achieved or it becomes a mad dash before I can allow myself to go to sleep.

This inbuilt mindset that I had regarding the commencement of projects meant that I was permanently going easy on myself and wasting the one resource that is unable to be replenished: Time.

I knew that I had to change my mindset around how I approached this. My days were wasted until the next hour had to end.

I decided to change my time horizons from hourly to half-hourly.

Nice mindset shift mate. Would make a couple tiny suggestions, make the article a little longer with some better formatting options, like subtitles and subtext. I love to hear the things that help people make improvements to their life so this article was a nice touch.
