The 5 Ways To Make Your Writing Authentic
After over three years of writing on this platform. I was immensely inconsistent and my writing style demonstrated that.
I am taking the month of April to change that. I have posted 21 articles in the first 16 days of this month.
I gave myself a few guidelines for how to approach my posting on medium:
- Write about anything that comes to mind
- Any hesitation to publish means that I must do so
- The length of the post doesn’t matter
- Try and be me in my writing
Approaching this period of writing gave me permission write in a way that was freeing and limited my expectations. In hindsight it also allowed me to experiment with different titles, formats and styles of styles.
In doing this experimentation I have so far identified 5 characteristics that has made my writing authentic and practical which has correlated to improved engagement:

My attempts to discuss universal themes like hard work, sacrifice, and the relentless nature of pursuing goals.
