Quality over Quantity. How often have you heard that?

I don’t know about you but it is a saying that has permeated throughout my life.

I like many others have always that that I must live in a way that replicates this dictum.

I would delay submitting a school assignment until it was ripped out of my hands by my teacher not because I wasn’t finished, I just didn’t think it was perfect.

The number of times I would spend hours attempting to write an article with the intent to post them. Yet consistently it would be relegated to the depths of my hard drive out of the fear that the item wasn’t perfect and ready to be presented to an audience. I feared the negative implications of displaying a piece of work that was a representation of my skills and my capacity to complete a perfect piece of work.

I had come up against this obstacle for years, all encompassing my teen and young adult years. It wasn’t until I began listening to business podcasts that this firmly held belief began to be destabilised. I would listen to successful business leaders who have now succeeded beyond even their wildest dreams. They would recount the trials and tribulations that they experienced in order to be in the position that they are in now.
