Writing About Writing: My Take On This Meta Act

How many times have you opened Medium to have a bombardment of recommended articles about writing on Medium?

Or titles like “How I made my first $100 on Medium?

Or the “I tried writing on Medium for 30 days, here’s what I learned for you

It might just be my Medium algorithm but I assume not based on the countless articles of this nature like the titles that I have included above.

Now there is no sense of feeling superior or above any of these tactics to become noticed on the platform. I too aim to write in an attention grabbing style that hooks you in and keeps you reading for as long as possible.

We have been taught that retention is everything and that the quality of the work in some cases isn’t what matters. It’s the ability to continually captivate the reader and lure them into a sense of longing for the wisdom and insight that you may have buried in the article that will solve all of there writing and money making woes.

Activation Energy

I like many of you struggle to get started on things that are new or seem challenging. It’s why many of us talk about doing something but never get up and do it.

“Talking about the thing is not the same as doing the thing”

Well said Dominic. I'm no different in this. Endless research and the constant feeling of "not knowing enough" prevented me from starting many projects. Not anymore. Honestly, Mark Mansons's book: The subtle Art of not giving a F%çk helped me a lot...
Happy writing to you.
